Journey So Far

2015

The journey began in the aftermath of the Nepal Earthquake. Amid destruction and human suffering, we stepped into relief work. What started as a response to crisis became a calling to serve.

2016

Vidiyal Medical Mission was officially registered as an NGO. A vision was formed—to provide compassionate, need-based care beyond hospital settings, especially for those who are often left behind

2019

1st Home-Based Palliative Care Service established in Delhi with Harmala Gupta and Ruth Woolridge (nurse from UK).

2021

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we actively supported frontline efforts in Madurai and collaborated with several NGOs. From patient care to coordination, we stood firm during one of the most challenging healthcare crises.

2023

We strengthened our mission by associating with SEEDS Palliative Care, deepening our focus on pain relief, dignity, and holistic palliative care.

2024

Day Care program launched.

2025

A major milestone: establishment of our dedicated office in Tenkasi for pain and palliative care services—bringing structured, accessible care closer to the community.

2011

1. Rehabilitation Program launched for destitute patients and caregivers.
2. Certificate Courses in Palliative Medicine and Palliative Nursing launched.

2017

CanSupport became the largest stand-alone Home-Based Palliative Care program in India.

2018

1. Third Party Resource Facilitation program established.
2. 1st Outpatient Clinic established in East Delhi.

2019

Footprint extended into Patiala, Punjab with the collaborative project with the state government.

2016

Internal Ethics Committee established.
